Lake Bled
Lake Bled was our last stop and it was magical. Did we save the best for last? Bled is a picturesque village on an alpine lake in the Julian Alps, complete with a beautiful gothic church on an island surrounded with turquoise water. There is a castle on a mountain top, which dates back to 1004. We took an afternoon walk around the lake, complete with a swim, and enjoyed the swans, the water lilies and the views that went on forever...
